FAQ

Frequently asked questions

General

What is Talaqqi Institute?

A platform for learning the Islamic sciences the traditional way: graded texts and stages, scholars guiding halaqat, and steady review and practice.

Which sciences are available?

Qur'an, creed, fiqh, ethics, sirah, hadith and the Arabic language. Sciences are opened progressively; those not yet open are marked "coming soon" on the platform.

Learning

Which school of law is taught?

The platform presents all four schools. The Maliki school is the default and the Madarij path is Maliki. Students can choose their school in their profile.

What is "Madarij al-Tafaqquh"?

A graded path in Maliki fiqh divided into stages and levels, each with its texts and commentaries. The student's progress is recorded and he can choose a supervising shaykh.

How do I start?

Create an account and confirm your e-mail, then complete your basic details so the app can suggest where to start.

Scholars and ijaza

Can I ask scholars a question?

Yes, through the questions service in the app: your question reaches a qualified scholar and the answer is not published without your permission. Fatwas are issued only by those qualified to give them.

Is an ijaza granted?

An ijaza is never automatic: the shaykh grants it himself after examining the student. The platform only helps with the request and follow-up.
